Tips For Use

Plant Saver Deer and Rabbit Repellent

First, when using the Plant Saver Deer and Rabbit Repellent, it is important to place your bags the appropriate distance apart, height off the ground and around the entire perimeter of the garden depending on which animals you are trying to deter because it’s the smell that keeps them away.  See below for the distance and height recommendations.

Rabbits and Small Animals: When repelling smaller animals keep the bags closer together, maximum four feet apart.  Also, keep them low, around one foot off the ground.  Reapply at least every six months.

Deer: When repelling deer you can place the bags up to six feet apart and between three and four feet off the ground.  Reapply at least every six months.

Added Protection:  If the season is particularly hard on animals they will do their best to find food.  In this case you can move the bags closer together, and sprinkle the Plant Saver Deer and Rabbit Repellent on the ground around the area you are protecting.  Because the rain will come in contact directly with the product, reapply at least every two months for moderate climates.

Plant Saver Squirrel and Chipmunk Repellent

The Plant Saver Squirrel and Chipmunk Repellent trains the animals to stay away because they don’t like the taste, which makes it great for protecting your bird seed!  It doesn’t harm the animals, just keeps them away. It can take up to 1-2 weeks for the animals to realize they really don’t like the taste and stay away.

Mix approximately three ounces with birdseed for an average size bird feeder or roll bulbs in the Plant Saver Squirrel and Chipmunk Repellent to keep them from disrupting your bulbs.  For extra protection sprinkle the repellent on the ground around the area you want to keep safe.

Insect Repellent

Insect Repellent Oil and Cream are intended to be applied to the skin, not on clothing.  It is essential oil based and the product moisturizes the skin, so feel free to reapply often!  The fragrance is what keeps the bugs away so if you can’t smell it, neither can they, and it’s time to reapply.

Poison Ivy Soap

Poison Ivy soap is used to soothe the itch and rash caused by poison ivy after being exposed.  The all natural, handmade soap contains real jewelweed and essential oils.  The jewelweed relieves itching and the rosemary and peppermint oils serve to moisturize and protect the skin.  It is effective, yet gentle enough to be used as a daily soap.

Poison Ivy Soap can be used before being exposed to poison ivy as a deterrent, but will not protect completely from getting the rash caused by the plant.
